Topic: SCAM ALERT! No cashouts from Tropical Forum: Bonus Whores

Looks like trouble at Tropical.

From day one, Tropical didn't have much traffic at the tables. But I signed up to whore their bonii, some of which I never received even though I cleared all the requirements. But bonii were plentiful in those good ole days (nostalgic sigh) and so I continued to play there occasionally.

A while back, I noticed that they elimated their player points buyins to real money games. Big deal, just one more reason to play elsewhere.

More recently, they elimated the SNG freerolls.

Then, their celebrity whore disappeared.

What? No celebrity whore? OK, I'm outta there.

But when I tried to cash out, I noticed that they had no payment processors listed on my cashier withdrawal page. Oh well, I'll just take the bank draft - which was the only choice - and wait a couple months.

Then after pressing the withdraw button, I received an message indicating some error in my account profile. It was my birth date, which had mysteriously changed 3-4 months ago. Now, I attempted several times to correct the erroneous DOB when the glitch first became apparent, and I received acknowledgement of the change. But the profile DOB persistently reverted back to the erroneous date. So I emailed support about the problem 2-3 months ago, but never received any reply.

So now, an account profile "error" prevents automated cashouts from being processed. After several progessively irate emails, support informed me that they had "just become aware of this bug in the software" and that technicans were actively "working on it."

Hmmm... What's that familiar odor in the air?

Undaunted, but visualizing my account balance flying away into the sunset, I requested a manual cashout.

No reply.

Then, after several additional and increasingly irate demands for cashout, I was informed that Tropical has instituted a "new rule for cashouts designed to protect the integrity of players' accounts," to wit:

Tropical Cashier wrote: ... In order to qualify for a withdrawal the player must have made a deposit during that [calendar] month.

Of course, US and Canadian players can only deposit via cashier's check, which must be snailmailed and which no doubt require more than a month for "processing."
