It costs you on average $50 for a ticket in a STT qualifier ($40 in the $5+$1), since payouts for second and third are also reduced. And the top 2000 in the weekly advance to the monthly, top 1000 get paid.
The MTTs seem to be a bit cheaper than the STTs if there are less than 100 entrants (there are currently some $33 ones running with 70-80).

If you estimate $10 million for the final tourney, the value of a weekly tourney is $100k + $1 M / 4 + $10M / 32 or a bit more than $650k. So the weekly tickets have an overlay when there are less than 13k players per tourney.

Besides that there are probably plenty of fish in those, so i may give it a try.
