So yeah, Im pissed about all this too... who isn't? I got to wondering about my Party Monster entries. I had spent several hundred pursuing them and have a weekly and a monthly in the bank ready for play. I also qualified for the big one in May (along with winning $400 for 825th place in the first monthly)

So I wrote Party a letter asking what they intend to do with these very valuable seats. The final 20 million with 8000 players has a huge value and the monthly million is a good value too. I figured they would just say "screw you... tough.. you lose them" But I will give Party credit. I got this reply:

Dear PoorUSWhoreweareabandoning,

Unfortunately, the structure of the PartyPoker.com Monster tournament makes it untenable to continue after the Act becomes law.
Accordingly, once that happens, it will be discontinued. We will convert Monster freerolls into cash equivalent amounts and refund
that amount to any players with unused freerolls.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Of course cash equivalents leaves a lot of room for wiggle. Anyone have any ideas how this might be done?
