Texas Hold em poker by sklansky; phil helmuth's book and theory of poker by sklansky. If you are a beginner then start with helmuth. But after you read it and get good at poker then helmuth's book is like a bad joke. It's good for starters but that is it. The top ten hands and the animal personalities you will use forever. But the rest of the book is i'm better than you are cause I got better hole cards but you just sucked out on me.

Also for internet poker there is Matthew Hilger's book. Available at internettexasholdem.com. The other is Jon Varhaus Killer Poker Online. Killer poker tells you how to take notes and what to take notes on. Great book. Hilger's book is also great but not much on note taking. I have files and files of notes on players. All on my works spreadsheet. All alphabetically. I just pop up the screen before I play on which site I am playing. One site per file. i have 38 files of player notes. Some sites I don't play anymore but I keep them anyway. Ought to sell them on ebay.
