You've got to be kidding me. I understand your concern with casino whoring, as casinos are going to be wary of straight up giving money away.
But the Empire 500... c'mon, now. If it was a good promotion for Empire, they'd have kept it. If it was making them money, they'd have kept it. If they were really concerned about not making bad promotions or having it abused, they'd have done something different than just taking it off the board.
I guess I can see your perspective, but I think your outcry is childish. The people who did multiple accounts did it under family member's names, and it's perfectly viable that a couple of family members living at the same address could sign up from the same IP and address.
When I play poker, (especially live) I act with class and integrity. While the Empire 500 scam was in an ethical gray area, I don't think you have any concern for Empire's bottom line, only your own, so stop being a friggin' baby.
My thanks to Dean Sheen and others for mentioning this promotion. If I didn't find out about it here, I would have found out about it at 2plus2, through my friends, or my poker acquaintances. If you want to spout off about how you're never going to share information again, then don't bother doing the next 100% to $300 promotion that someone's kind enough to post.
The key is to hop on promotions before the casino/poker room realizes they fucked up. You think that because 25 people in the world open 2-5 Empire 500 accounts, that's the reason the promotion got shitcanned? Right.
