I'm mainly playing .5/.1 Stud H/L to clear the Empire500 bonus.

Pros:
- 98% of hands are raked - you'll play less hands, but the raked hands/hr might even be higher than .5/.1 limit holdem
- players are insanely bad (they'll play any pair, usually to the river). In holdem, these idiots can draw out on you for the whole pot. In S/8, once you've made a low, a guy playing a garbagey high hand is drawing totally dead for half the pot. In holdem, he can catch perfect perfect to crack just about anything (lost with the flopped nut straight to a guy chasing with bottom pair yesterday - 98% on flop). Jamming with a made low and a big draw on 5th can be ridiculously profitable, as long as someone else will play with you.

Cons:
- the antes are ridiculous (25c hand). You put an average of 28c per hand in the pot EVERY hand (.5/1 Holdem 10 handed is only 7.5c). At Pokerstars, the same game has a 5c ante! This keeps the loose players alive, and if you miss your big scooping draws, the ante can eat you up. You get in a paradoxical situation - the antes are big, so you should loosen your hand selection. However, the game is so loose that you have to play super-tight (that's the way S8 works). I'm not sure this game is as beatable as the .5/.1 Holdem because of the insane ante structure.
