I thought Omaha would be quicker, for the reasons you mentioned. However, it is usually slower and my Omaha starting hand selection is weak.
For example, my 10 player limit holdem tables at paradise are running at 70 - 80 hands an hour, Omaha HL at the same limits are running at 40-50 hands/hour.
That said, you may by able to squeeze an extra table of Omaha in because you play even tighter and have more downtime.
That would be 140-160 hands hour for 2 tables limit holdem amd 120-150 for 3 tables of omaha.
Possibly if the Omaha games were much looser (although then they'd be slower) and the site cared about the amount of rake rather than just dealt hands. Otherwise, I think good old holdem (I suspect NL all being equal, but again, think about the raked hands vs dealt hands vs total rake issue) |
