Well, yes and no. It doesn't really matter if you buy from casino or poker since they all go straight into the sportsbook account. From the sportsbook account, it gets tranferred to chips when you sit down at a poker table or log into the casino account. Since you have an option of how much you can purchase when you first log into the casino, just make sure to transfer more than $80 from your sportsbook account so you get the full bonus. Then you can log out if you wish, and your original transfer will go back to the sportsbook account and the bonus will stay in the casino bonus account. I guess you can play the monthly bonus that month if you want but it's a better idea to let it build first, IMHO. Just make sure to log into the casino each month and transfer money from sportsbook account into chips to get the casino bonus.
