Topic: Affiliate sign-up vs direct sign-up Forum: Bonus Whores

This question is of a general nature. It seems that, for a number of poker sites, one has the choice of signing up directly with the site and taking advantage of whatever sign-up bonus that site is then offering, or signing up through an affiliate, who may have a different and sometimes better sign-up offer going on.

Is there any general guidance you would suggest over which is generally the better option? Are there pros and cons to each? Does it matter?
