This might be a bankroll that's appropriate to limit with the crazy variance...but a tight NL player doesn't need 20 buy ins. I've played a few years and never come close to losing that many buy ins. If you lose 3-4 buy ins at NL, it's time to stop and reevaluate your game.

It really depends how much of an edge you have over the competition. If your edge is small, especially in an aggressive game where you will be putting lots of money into the pot, variance can bankrupt you if you don't have enough buy-ins.

I'll buy that argument...but probably best to just find a better table if that is the case. There are NL 50 tables you can beat by playing solid tight
