A little background: I started playing low-limit hold'em in July of last year. I read Lee Jones's book, played way too loose, and lost about $250 in three months, so I stopped. But I left about a hundred bucks in a Poker Room account. In January of this year, I started playing again, determined to adhere closely to Jones's suggestions. I'd build a bankroll, start playing loose, watch it dwindle, then build it again, but I couldn't seem to do more than break even, no matter how tightly I played.
When I started playing last July I read Sklansky and Malmuth's book and couldn't make heads or tails out of it. About three weeks ago I picked it up again and it suddenly made a LOT of sense. When I first started playing with their strategies in mind, I'd play too many hands and take them too far, especially with overcards, but since the first week, I've managed to double my money.
So, I'd like to start whoring, but here's the thing: I'm REALLY uncomfortable playing on tables over 50-1. Even though I've developed confidence in my game -- hell, I've broken even for six months -- I just don't have the bankroll to feel comfortable going above 50-1. And if I lose this money, I can't justify playing to my family, who are all supportive of what I'm doing as long as I don't lose anymore money. So, my question is: What room should I sign up with that has plenty of 50-1 tables to choose from as well as a decent bonus I can show a profit with fairly quickly?
