Topic: My first month as a whore Forum: Bonus Whores

I'm in the same boat - this is just "extra" money for fun stuff that doesn't fit as well into my normal job's paycheck . (I've had more time than normal the last few weeks thanks to paternity leave.) I also switched over to NL (just in the last couple days) and have had a *big* jump in win rate. Playing 1 $25, $50, or $100 NL last couple days (with 2 $1/$2 or sometimes $2/$4 tables to back it up for bonus etc) I'm typically making a LOT more on NL now. One of the great things about this site is that the bonuses basically subsidized me while I got my feet wet, as I wouldn't have been comfortable playing $25, $50, or even $100 NL even just a month ago, whereas now it doesn't really feel like all that much. (And winning doesn't hurt that any either )

The next big question for me is when to move up to $2/$4 and then $3/$6 when I'm not playing NL. That damn pokerroom bonus is still waiting and only has a few more weeks on it, so this may finally be the time. I'm not sure why I've waited so long to move up in Limit. When I stop and think about it I think I worry that there will be a big skill jump, and I do love preying on the fish at sites like party. I guess part of me worries that moving to $2/$4 is going to be more like playing the tightasses at crypto, which is a lot less fun and feels a lot more like a job for me lately. I don't know about other new-ish whores, but for me it's a bit tricky deciding when to leave the lower limits and their presumably easier targets. On the other hand, I'm sure I'm not the only one here that's had to deal with this. In my hopeful version moving to 2/4 and 3/6 is about like when I went from .50/1 to 1/2, which turned out to be almost the same . That said, with the bankroll now about to cross over the $3k mark after 5 weeks I have to say that still playing 1/2 is probably not wise given how well I've been doing.

Can you tell I'm a bit conflicted?
