I love playing cards. All kinds of cards. I have been playing them since I was a little kid. My family played poker, pinochle, spades, hearts, cribbage, gin, 31, cinch and everything else under the sun. Growing up my friends and I would play .5 games and we just had a blast. When we got older we got tired of regular old poker and started making up big pot games. 3 card stud where the low card in your hand was wild, K's are wild 5 card draw, things of that nature but there was always a house to beat. It got to the point where those same friends ended up owing me a lot of money. The thing with owing is your friends aren't really your friends when they owe you money. They become this other being that you thought that you knew your whole life but money does have a habit of seperating a friendship. I had a very good friend owe me almost $1K but I cut him a break to $500. 2 days later I see him playing pool at the pool hall we all hung out at and he was dropping $20's like they were nothing. We had a very brief discussion and it ended up with him breaking a $300 Mucci stick over my back. 15 years of friendship down the tubes over some money. I really have no point in that story I just thought that I would share it with you guys.
The whole internet poker explosion has got me by the balls. At one point it consumed my whole being. I would get home, play with my son until he went to sleep and log on. Of course at first I thought I had my game down! Boy was I wrong! Not being able to see the person you are playing against has really changed this game up for me. I have become MUCH better over the course of the year (THANK GOD). Also, if it were not for this site I would not even have a bankroll. I cannot express how much I am thankful to JEK for putting this whole thing together and making me some extra scratch every month. I am in no way as good as most of you whores are out there. I just don't have the time or the heart to play 9 Crypto sites, have 14 Empire accts, or play many of the other sites that are out there. I stick to what I know and it has made me a better player and contributed to a very nice bankroll. Thanks again JEK for making this thing work, thanks to Homer for the Casino whoring thang (even though I didn't do ONE SITE!); and thanks to y'all for being so cool. I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULDN'T CRY!!!! OH HERE I GO
