It's definitely worth my time, but I clear these bonuses differently than you talk about in your post. In your gaming club example, I would just play the 4/8 table or not play if they usually have a 5/10 that I can play later. But lets' say I play the 4/8, according to the bw site this is worth $9.90 per hour. I agree that some of these numbers are high by up to a couple of dollars per hour(I'm not familiar with the gc rate); but even if its $7 thats good money. Then I would open up 2 AP tables, 1PR, 1UB, and 1GG. Or maybe I substitute full tilt etc if there are no decent tables at a particular site. Now I'm getting $6-$10 per table. Thats some serious bonus/rakeback money. And I've also chosen the best tables from each site which helps your winrate considerably.
Sure I clear the bonuses slow, but that's sort of the point. I always have enough bonuses going to play 6 tables getting a good bonus at each one. At least that's the plan, and it's working for now but I've just recently begun whoring. Most bonuses give you quite a bit of time to clear them so that's not really an issue. And if you run short of time you can always concentrate on 1 site.
The main roadblock I see to doing things this way is bankroll. So a shorter bankroll would need to concentrate on fewer sites, but I still think this is the way to go to maximize yourr earnings. If you play 2/4. You'd be much better off playing at 2 sites with 2 bonuses at 2/4 than playing 1 2/4 game and 1 1/2 game because there is not a second 2/4 game at your current site. Not only do you make more in the 2/4 but you are clearing the bonuses faster. This will really add up over time. |
