A raked hand is a raked hand is a raked hand.
Some sites misuse the word to describe hands where the rake reaches a certain amount (Cryptos) or where you have contributed money yourself (some Primas). And this misuse creates the confusion. Not BW's fault!
Speaking as someone who recently played 400 "raked" hands on Classic Poker only to find out they had changed the definition of a raked hand making my 400 raked hands into 7 raked hands, I'm just being more careful now... I bet you would too.
I know it's not BW's fault when a site changes their definition of a raked hand, or does weird things with rake contribution vs. non-contribution, but the reality is that based on the way BW listed the Classic bonus, anyone using using the "raked hand is a raked hand" rule would get screwed just like me.
It's not that much harder to list what the rules are for a raked hand as part of the bonus listing, and it would save all these questions which are obviously annoying many people on the board. I'm glad to see that the Classic listing has done just that.
As big as BW is, we usually hear about this crap as soon as somebody else does, rarely beforehand. We try to get the site changed ASAP to reflect any changes these sites throw out at us. I don't know when you looked at the Classic Poker raked hand terms here at BW, but they are changed now. I apologize for any inconvienence this caused you. |
