Thanks for the thoughts. Now that I think of it, you are right, recommending search is perhaps not "rude," rather, it triggers impatient and lazy newbies to feel disappointed/annoyed by it. I just had an impression that general replies are rude b/c I remember a very few people indeed made some rude comments. You know, people tend to remember only negative things.
