I think they mean 1/2 limit. That is the optimum level to whore many of the bonuses, just a bit risky on a $80 bankroll. I guess it boils down to how hard it is to replace the $80 (and how well you play). You can spend a long time at micro, micro limits and be safe or risk blowing the roll working of the easy bonuses.

Of course you will learn a lot working through the limits. Personally, I'd recomend that you play 0.25/0.50 or 0.50/1.00 and build up a little. Not only will that create a cusion but it also will be a good education. There aren't many bonues that clear well there, but there are some.
