One is (bonus-rake)/hour (or per hand or per any other unit of time), or basically, my hourly rate over and above losses/winnings from play.
One is simply bonus-rake, because sometimes, if I have nothing better to do, I may be willing to play at a lower hourly rate.
Both of these will be negative if you are playing a bonus that is less than 100% rakeback.
For a raked hand bonus, bonus-rake increases when
1) Number of raked hands per bonus dollar released decreases
2) Rake per hand decreases but is not zero
So in an ideal bonus-clearing world, every hand would be raked 1 cent. This maximizes (bonus-rake)/hand. Drop the rake to zero, and bonus-rake = 0 - 0 = 0. Zero rake is fine if you're a winner, but being paid to play the hand is better. |
