The reload bonuses at PokerStars also work for initial deposits, so no need to worry on that front. Don't think it makes a difference either if you've been signed up for a while or wait till a bonus period. They did offer a small signup bonus last time though ($25-$50, can't remember exactly), so if that matters then it may be better to wait because I think it required a code, unlike the reloads, or opening the account during a certain window of time.
