They probably make less money per player hour on tournaments than on limit cash games, but that's beside the point. They're suddenly drawing way more traffic than they used to and you're suggesting they should switch back to their old marketing approach.

Based on the results they're getting from their marketing spend right now, I'd say that's it's not in their best interest to switch back to reloads. They probably wouldn't get more players if they spent that money on reloads instead of the VIP program (and whatever else is suddenly bringing in hordes of players since they stopped doing reloads--have they upped the TV ads or anything in this time frame?).
