Players on B2B are better post flop on average than most other networks IMO - you have to put in a decent set of money to just find out where you are really at if the pot has money in it to start - so this contributes to the big swings. B2B has taught me to respect position more than before as they make it expensive to play OOP. Semi-bluffs are a big part of the game here.
Games are SH which also contributes to high variance. Lack of full ring (only 8 handed) means that if you are having a tough day at SH you can't switch over to take it easy for a bit and cool down.
Finally, even though it is 5x, the 5x clears at the same hourly rate at NL100 as a 10x on Party. If you go higher NL, or play limit 2-4, it'll clear faster than party 10x. So, I am not saying it is sustainable, but just to remember that it is about a 10x in some situations (and higher than 10x at lower limits) and closer to a 5x at the higher limits, which are the limits that generate more rake anyways to help cover the cost.
