Topic: Sports Leagues Against Gambling Online Write Letter to Congress Forum: Winner Online

I think it aries greatly.

The NFL, for example, would prefer that there be no sports betting in Nevada. The aggressively make sure that the super bowl can not be displayed in Las Vegas sportsbooks, and do everything they can to disrupt super bowl parties within the sportsbook. It is an ongoing battle that gets worse each year.

Smaller leagues, on the other hand, seem to be more open minded. I know of two leagues right now that would not only welcome having bets placed on their games, but would jump at an opportunity to form a sponsorship deal with a sportsbook that would be the "official" sportsbook, complete with uniform logos, scoreboard placement, etc.
