Jerry I have the same problem as you except that i reside in Canada. 90% of my income is derived from Costa Rica, Barbuda & Antigua, and other places in the Carribeans.
Of course none of these offshore companies will file a tax report, but i have the same worries... that i'll get audited.
The Canadian government is greedy, and more than 50% of a citizens income goes to taxes if he makes over a certain income. (over 70% of you take in consideration the many hidden taxes)
The only alternative would be to have the companies that wire me money, to do so in an offshore banking account.
As a USA citizen you do not want to open up an account in Canada. The canadian banks will report you to your government. If you're going open a second banking account, make sure it's in costa rica, barbuda, or another offshore country!
I am still trying to find a bank online, either that or i'll have to fly to costa rica and open one in person.
Anyway, tell me what you think
