DaiLun, welcome back to our humble abode!

I remember you from a LONG time ago from my days at Acropolis and Intercasino. I remember you emailing me stating you won quite a bit of money at Acropolis/Avalon and were waiting for payment. (I thought that was where you hit your first royal?)

This was approx 2 years ago, and Acropolis had one of the best blackjack games on the net. I made a number of deposits/withdrawals with them, and never had a problem. I was way ahead of the game, and a ery happy camper. At the time, they only accepted Visa and not Mastercard. Then they finally started accepting Mastercard, and I made my first ever depsoit with it. I was playing with black chips -playing 2 hands at the same time. I had several doubles and splits, and twice I won 2 doubles and splits at the same time. The cash was just rolling in.
I ended up cashing out with approx $4600.
Little did I realize the nightmare I was in for. Apprarently, Acropolis never had a merchant account with Mastercard. So, not only did my original deposit (very small) not go through, but I didn't get my withdrawal. I complained and complained and complained. Finally I got through to the owner of the casino (voice) in Dominica, who told me the problem would be corrected in 2 weeks, and I would have my $$. Well 2 weeks came and went, and no $$. Then I was told the problem was not on thier end, but with the bank. After another month I finally got through to the owner who sent me a long detailed apology, and promising me the funds yet again. This time he stated he couldn't pay me in the original timeframe because they didn't want to double pay me, and credits had already been put through to Mastercard, but they had to be manually processed. I asked him if I could contact his bank, but he refused to let me.
At that point I was beginning to think I would never get the funds, but I wondered why the owner would email me such a long detailed apology if they were never going to pay me. Anyway, AFTER THREE MONTHS, I finally received my funds -- and they comped me $200. I had resolved never to play there again, but at the time, received an email that Acropolis was taken over by brand new owners, and that there would be the grand opening of thier newest casino, Avalon. I noticed that the software had been improved, and new games had been added. I was especially impressed by these. Several other improvements were made to the software.

I came back to make more deposits. It was a big mistake. Neither me or any of my firends could win at blackjack any more. It remember reading on another forum, that thier server was upgraded, and that noone was winning.
Perhaps I was just having an unlucky streak.
This is definately possible after the good wins I had there. But it wasn't just me. Of the 9 others that I knew were playing there,
noone could seem to eek out a profit.
The only exception was DaiLun, but he didn't win playing BJ, but I believe with ideo poker. So I stopped playing.

I've noticed the Acropolis/Avalon websites are rarely ever updated. (Recently they added to thier website that they are nowowned by Stanley Leisure, Inc.)
The one winner posted on the Acropolis website is from back in 1997.

These casinos no longer advertise at all,
to the best of my knowledge.
