Ok, I know I will receive Kyla's(and others?) wrath for defending Haywood but I think he is justified in his opinions. I know gamblers don't like to hear that in the end they will lose all the money they gamble with but it is the harsh truth for the great majority. I too have a BIG problem with the industry's Disneyland self image. Gambling destroys thousands of lives every year(day?), it is especially destructive because it prays on the poor's dreams of instant riches. What Bill states about a small portion of a casino's clientele accounting for the majority of profits is accurate. People are gambling at an increasingly early age and many are ruining their life before it has trully begun.

I was not critizing the quality of your work, just its inherent nature. To justify what you do by pointing out you only recommend "good" casinos is missing the big picture but I too see where you're coming from. All I'm saying is that I don't think encouraging people to participate in behaviour which in the end will prove detrimental to them is something that is IMO moral. I see it as lining up ducks to get shot down so profiting from this activity is not something I could live with. This is just my opinion, it is worth every penny you paid for it.

Erin, the book is certainly not targeted at compulsive gamblers(I know you were being sarcastic). In fact, in it is a great chapter on gambling addiction, the first I've seen in the admitedly small number of gambling books I've read(<15).
I highly recommend the book for those who choose to see things as they are rather than how they wish they were.
