Topic: Steve interviews Sue Schnieder of the IGC Forum: Winner Online

Of course IGC members prefer a regulated, safe and developed environment in which to operate - that's good for operators and players, too and beats the hell out of US prohibition.

But Steve makes a good point that if the IGC have ambitions as a potential regulating authority they truly need to become more player-oriented. They haven't done too well in that area thus far and they must be aware of their shortcomings. If they are smart they will be doing some serious rethinking after this GP affair.

I'm pretty sure that most operators want an harmonious relationship with the players - that's plain good business sense.

In my iew an efficient system would have a regulating authority made up of organisations like the OPA, too - that would give it credibility with all the people it impacts.

Perhaps a premature thought when some US legislaters are still looking to ban internet gambling altogether whether we like it or not!
