Always use the USA number...the Canadian ones usually don't work.
The number I used was 0011 1 877 844 7590
I don't know why it wouldn't work for you. They can be tempremental at times, but this one seemed to work okay. Just try using them first, because the direct numbers can be VERY expensive...I learnt the hard way!
