In the US, as in other countries, the customer may come first, but in the US people call it like it is. They don't hide the bull**** - they tell you to your face, "If you don't like it, don't come back".
You have it totally backwards. Shows how much you know. The chance of you being hired as a consultant is slim and none. I highly doubt you have the requisite real-world experience, unlike some of us who have spent many years doing just that.
