Don't panic. This is a problem that has come to light in the past few months. As was stated before, some banks have no problem because they are used to handling them. Others who are not familiar, or don't have correspondent accounts in Canadian banks, will not know how to handle it through their normal business procedure. Banks use a sort of "honor system", and when something unfamiliar comes through, the red flag goes up, especially in today's climate of financial scrutiny.

SD is sound, and they will pay you. This is why I try to use ACH/wire transfers whenever cost effective. For $1800, it is worth it to me.
