Using a new temporary registration as a technical glitch has aced out my Jetset nomdeplume and password at WOL the past few days. Omnibus comment:
1) Amateur Sleuth and Luckystrike look to be the most interested people regarding the formation of a new committee and the field is wide open if enough members feel the same way and accept your leadership. I sincerely wish all strength to your arms.
2) nvaughan3 - you say that Adkins has responded to email within the last few days and that subscriptions were accepted recently? I assume that your informant on this is truly informed and reliable? Are you prepared to give more details and identify that person - if necessary in private?
I ask because I have been trying to get a response from this gentleman for the last couple months without success in a quest for a comment on a seperate issue, and in the light of this discussion concerning him there is clearly a further comment required which I would like to put to him.
3) Do - more words of wisdom. I agree.
4) Slotski - I think your observation "The only thing that will change this industry in a real way is going to be real regulation" is right-on. But "consumer" groups like the OPA can help to improve things with the support of their members, as the OPA illustrated. It certainly brought some strange people out into the open and provided at times shocking proof of the lengths to which they were prepared to go to stop actions affecting their operations.
5) Spam! New show is up at CasinoGazette!
