Topic: FIREPAY REMOVES MASTERCARD Forum: Winner Online

I received an email from Firepay which said in part:

Quote:

...As a result of MasterCard’s new global policy to no longer offer MasterCard as a funding method for Internet based stored alue accounts, we are required to remove MasterCard from firepay.com. As part of our commitment to remain fully compliant with all credit card companies, our site already reflects this change...

I have a debit Mastercard I use for Online purchases, including casinos, but not only that. Interesting that the card is still accepted at all of the casinos up to this point. (2/11/02)

Now Firepay wants you to deposit to them directly from your bank account. No way would I trust these people anywhere near my bank account.

I had decided that Firepay was more trouble than they were worth anyway. Getting withdrawals to show up has been a major pain with them. If I still need an alternative purchase method, Paypal is the way to go for me now.
