Nope, I didn't double!

An impossible card to beat like the ACE shows up a lot of the time whenever I double with $25 bets, so I haven't had much luck with it!

I used to try it a lot with the Sunny Group VP tournaments when I got behind but I don't think I ever managed to double more than once unless my bet was $5! I did win one or two of the Video Poker tournaments betting just $5 max. They don't include doubling as a wager so it's best to double in the tournaments sometimes. They score the tournaments based on profit divided by wagered amount so it's best to keep the amount wagered low.
