8 groups of 4 play a round-robin---6 games each group---6*8=48

then, 16 team single elimination playoff

8 first round games
4 quarterfinals
2 semis
1 final

48+8+4+2+1=63

You are correct for the tournament.

But I think they might have a 3rd/4th play-off. I may be wrong on that, but either way you are essentially correct for the REAL games.
