joeyl - to tell the honest truth, I actually know ery little about the mathematics of VP. This is because we offer it in only one of our online casinos (www.drholite.com), which is a BossMedia product, and most Asian players hate slot machines in general (both in our brick and mortar casinos and in the BossMedia product). (To put this in perspective, if we get $10,000 of action on our VP game in a day, that would be a lot, as opposed to several million on our baccarat tables in both our www.drholite.com and www.drho888.com products.) I also understand that U.S. players aren't wild (to put it mildly) about the BossMedia VP game anyway.
Bottom line - I simply don't know enough about the game itself, and there's no one in Macau that I can call, so I just can't answer your question. There are some real math geeks on this board, however, and I bet they can comment. zrapture? croupier? eintstein? tester? These people appear to be quite knowledgeable about VP.
