The difference is that if I lost $53000 or $153000, I would not consider killing myself over it!

That's how a particular person would react to a situation. Most people would not consider money something to kill yourself over, sure agonize and regret, but not self-termination.

That is another type of illness. Most people realize that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Besides, alive or dead, others will still have to deal with what is left behind, so it seems like the ultimate selfish act to me.
