This is the problem with small samples and looking at past results for suspicious patterns. If you closely examine any sample of 1000 hands there will be several unusual events to find. Some are harder to find than others. Suppose you play 200 hands and never lose more than five in a row? Unless you were using a betting strategy of doubling after losses you would probably not even notice, but that is unusual too. At Playtech blackjack I once accidentally split a pair of 5's instead of doubling. I drew a 5 and a 6 and doubled on each. Guess what? I got another 5 and another 6. Dealer did not bust and I lost four times the original bet. That sucks but it does not prove anything.
The only time I was convinced the game was fixed I noticed that dealer seemed to rarely draw 10's when forced to hit and therefore rarely busted. AFTER THAT I played two sessions of 200 and 300 hands and recorded every card. In both of those sessions dealer drew 10's at only 75% of the expected rate, as if 4 face cards were missing from the four deck shoe. That is only 1 chance in 1000. After some persistent complaints and complaints from others the casino refunded part of my losses and changed their game. Even this is not proof that would stand up in court, but it is more alid than examining past events for unusual patterns.
