John May has done advanced research on beating biased roulette wheels in brick and mortar casinos. Many years back, when I had purchased several books on the subject, I could not get the information I was looking for, and went to the Green Baize Vampire (John May) for help. I found his information to be the most accurate around. He was ery courteous, and went into depth for me in explaining everything. I should have paid the guy for his services.

PlayTheRush, I'm really glad to see you back on these forums, as you've been the source of a lot of intelligent discussions in the past. We agree on many an issue, and therefore, when you make an allegation that May's calculations are wrong and/or that he lies, I take the allegation ery seriously, and want to investigate it. Please expand futher on your comments. If I find you to be right, I will not be ashamed to admit this.

After I read "The Mathematics Of Gambling" by Thorp, I too became aware that Baccarat could be beatable, under certain situations, which were negligable in real life, since these situation rarely occurred.

May took Thorp's findings a step further, by showing that if an entire shoe was dealt, and every card was tracked, it was possible to accurately predict a higher % possibility of a tie hand (in these rare instances) AND MAKE THESE INSTANCES PROFITABLE. Although May never explained this completely in his book, he has covered the topic in depth on the message boards (I belive his website).

Frank Scoblete knows that May's methods work, and that's why May's a writer for New Chance & Circumatcance and for Scoblete's Gaming pages on RGTOnline.

Spearmaster - You run an excellent website, and I'm one of your biggest fans when it comes to your articles on arious topics regarding the industry. But this does not change my iews. If McDonald's started serving horse meat in it's burgers, the department of health of the FDA would investigate, and would have proof of this.
However, with a rigged bj game, its not that simple. First of all there's no regulatory authority that can test any of this. Secondly, if a software developer has a "take down" mode on a players HIGHEST BETS, this is an extremely difficult thing to prove -- in fact there may be no way to prove it at all, despite the sample size.
This is why the need for TRUE REGULATION in this industry is so important.

Govennment agencies need to have access every single audit trail and gaming log at a casino, so that the numbers can't be manipulated, and the books can't be cooked.
This way a true audit could take place, and players could have reasonable confidence a software developer did not rig the games.
BACK OFFICE AUDITS NEED TO TAKE PLACE.
