Thank you for the kind words ickinz. I think it is a great idea. I wish someone would run with it. That is my hopes.

Mary...I think you are right. Player co-ops could be small groups or large groups, small players or big players, Players from the US or players from Zambia...whatever.

I am not really trying to knock the OPA. If they feel that they are doing the right thing that is fine. If they feel they have to accept money from casinos then that is fine too. I just think that as long as an "authority", whoever it is, accepts funds from anyone they become indebted to them.

I have served as a council member for the town I live in. I had nothing to personally gain from serving, other than the normal things like having a good place to live, good streets, etc. I knew that when a decision had to be made that I didn't have to think twice. I didn't have to think...am I indebted to this person or this company or this organization...

That is all I am saying...it would be a lot better if the OPA was getting their funding from something else.

I do have two other pretty big concerns. Maybe you can address them.

1. Complaints are posted before they are really investigated. Tell me if I am wrong...but...I have seen complaints on the site that say "investigating". Does any investigating go on BEFORE anything is posted? If not then I wouldn't think that it would be fair to large casinos. Casinos that have more traffic are naturally going to have more complaints. They may only have a 1:1000 ratio but could still have more complaints than a casino that has small activity and a 1:2 ratio...see what I mean?

2. I understand that the OPA is moving to a policy of only investigating claims against casinos that are not on the NOT RECOMMENDED list. So if a casino is so bad it gets on that list the OPA will not help you. If they are on the RECOMMENDED list or no list at all then the OPA will investigate...right? I think that if you are going to put yourself out there as the industry police then you ought to investigate every claim. It would be like the real Police saying, "Well you live in a part of town that has a high crime rate, so we aren't going to investigate your robbery".
