The poster, seeing a "pattern" (-15 +12) wanted to know the "odds" against that aprticular event.

The odds are astronomical.

The odds are ALSO stellar-inclined, and IDENTICALLY SO, for the following PARTICULAR sequence: +2, -3, +1, -6, +7, -6, +2...

...or any other PARTICULAR sequence you could dream up. Would he have asked the question if he'd received MY given sequence? Of course not - no pattern. But the odds against are equally astronomical.

The question remains irrelevant; stop looking for unnecessary complications - life's hard enough.
