What exactly is the definition of a bonus abuser?

Is it any player who doesn't lose everything?

Is it a person who deposits the minimum amount required, receives the bonus and plays only until they can withdraw, then cashes out? A person doing this is merely fulfilling the terms of the promotion, so can't be a bonus abuser - though some casinos would disagree.

What about a person who deposits the required minimum, receives the bonus, then immediately withdraws their original deposit and only plays the wagering requirement with the bonus money, cashing out as soon as they fulfil the terms. Is this a bonus abuser - many more casinos seem to think so.

Part of the problem seems to be that the term bonus abuser means different things to different people, and can ultimately mean whatever the relevant casino wants it to mean at any given time.

Perhaps this is a moot point. If a player falls into whatever definition of bonus abuser the casino is using at that time, they should just be denied the bonus when they first deposit, rather than being penalised after the fact.

Telling a player "sorry you didn't qualify for the bonus, due to some obscure rule which we never told you and are quite probably making up as we go along, so we are taking it back, along with everything you deposited in the first place" it tantamount to stealing.

I really can't see the difference between witholding a player's deposit and bonus for this reason, and a confidence trick.
