As soon as PayPal started allowing chargebacks the casinos had to start treating them just like any other payment mentod.

It is designed to protect the casino.

Let me ask you this. If PayPal was so secure and such a great payment option then why do they let people chargeback? Chargebacks are mostly for the protection from "unauthorized purchases".

The reason these payment options are falling by the way side along with a lot of ecommerce sites is because there is a severe problem with fraudulent chargebacks.

I suspect it is even worse with casinos. Most ecommerce companies at least deal with a physical product that has to be shipped, thus is more trackable. If the customer isn't satisfied with the product then they can return the product and get a refund.

The casinos' product is cash which is next to impossible to prove was authorized. If the customer isn't satisfied (maybe they lose even though the casino did everything right) then their is only one way to return the product...chargeback.

In the past casinos had ignorance on their side. Now a lot of grifters know that there is a real hole in the entire payment process.
