TST hasn't been around all that long, though; they have grown with the industry. Cryptologic might be one of their earliest clients, and have had more clout then.
Manashe's 1994 patent appears to me to be a general patent on using the internet--or any computer network--to gamble, with the rng in a server and the majority of game functions on the client side.
Wm Hill's defense was geographically based, not based on whether or not the patent itself was too broad. They may try that argument next.
