No no. Calm down. You may be over-sensitive.

I agree some of your points in your 03:15 a.m. post but I remain my original opinion.

As a wholesaler in medical herbs in the past, I had issued & received thousands of checks (no exaggeration) and therefore I'm qualified to criticize that it's not right to issue a warning publicly (even privately) when a check is bounced without referring to the issuer in the first place.

First of all, a bounced check is not necessarily a bad check. There are dozens of reasons for a check bounce which could be faulted by either of 3 parties: the issuer, the bank, or the payee. Even if the check is bounced because of lack of fund, so what? you cannot flame the issuers & call them evils at once. Why? I'll tell you one of my personal examples.

I had issued a check to my supplier that later bounced as lack of fund and he notified me of that. I was amazed & later discovered that it was my miscalculation in my bank balance that I thought I had enough to pay but actually not. So I quickly reissued him another check from another bank AC. Problem solved. Had he warned others immediately to take caution of me because of this without approaching me first, it's just NOT RIGHT on his part. Period. Furthermore, do not chase money in the morning, the earliest you can do so is after noon, because morning is deemed to be the most critical moment to a merchant which determines the luck of the rest of his day.

Doing business, bounced checks happen all the time although it's not right either, especially when one is faced with so many little transactions, without a computerized accounting system at work and, most importantly, with shallow pockets.

Well, your case with Jungle Palace could be something other than a pure mistake, we'll see whether they'll do right. But in the meantime, do right on your part first. It's too early to WARN others (of what?) while your complaint is yet to be sufficient.
