Dell's strategy actually makes sense. if you just want to WIN, but don't care about getting enjoyment time out of playing, then you are best betting it all (but saving half for doubling). this way you avoid the house edge grinding you down over time. if you want to turn $100 into $500, your best bet is to keep betting half of your bankroll four times in a row.
