Although I agreed with your number of 1 in 32 for hitting a number 3 times or less in 310 spins on a 37-number wheel, using the same methodology as I did for that, I definitely get 563,175 to 1 for hitting one number 6 times or less in 1000 spins on a 38 number wheel.
Not that it really matters. Like you, I tend to disbelieve it as true given the rarity of the event actually occurring.

ACC - If what you meant by "chances of 1 number to appear in 310 spins is once in 500" is "if I played the same number for 310 spins on a 38-number wheel, what are the chances of that number hitting exactly one time?" the answer is 1 in 465 and 1 in 567 for a 37-number wheel. If what you meant is that number hitting 1 or fewer times, the chances are 1 in 232 & 1 in 284 for a 37-number wheel.
I'm guessing gamblinboi wasn't as much questioning your calculations as saying he doesn't really think that events that occur once in 500 times, let alone once in 28 times, are anything except "bad luck".
