There is no polite way to put it. If you think I'm wrong, read up on gambling math. But hey, it's your money. If you want to throw it away on games that have a 10% or worse house edge, be my guest; just don't expect me to respect you in the morning.

*note: there is such a thing as advantage play slots, but that is beyond the scope of this discussion, and only a small percentage of posters on this site know what I'm talking about.
