Sadly true. In this case the IP of SandCastles indicates that their post originates from the same country, perhaps even the same state, as that of the administrators of the casino in question. Yes, that is circumstantial evidence, but it's pretty damn good circumstantial evidence and enough IMHO to support Got2Bet's red flag on this.
The unfortunate truth is that these boards --any boards really-- are so often abused by people pretending to be successful players that we all have to take "biggest win" stories with a serious grain of salt. They smile, they are our friends, they tell us nice stories and it's so painfully often just lies, lies, lies. And what's worse they are abusing your trust and my place of business to tell those lies.
And what have they got to lose? Almost nothing ... except when someone who suspects them calls them on their bogus testimonials and exposes, or attempts to expose, the truth. In so doing are they just being pessimistic? Or are they performing a aluable community service? In the end I suppose it depends on your point of iew.
If you've been around the scene as long as I have you get in the habit of automatically suspecting a first time poster who raves about this or that "big win" at this or that casino. If the other evidence, albeit circumstantial, happens to support those suspicions then you can be fairly confident that you're dealing with yet another low-life lieing shill. In a case like this what responsible person wouldn't speak up? Yes, they _may_ be mistaken, but if they've got a good track record and they know the business well then the chances they are right are far greater than the chances that the shill is not a shill. As mentioned above there are 100 fakes --if not more!-- for every genuine "big win" testimonial.
