As many players will attest to if there was a misunderstanding, and the customer was not aware that they were not eligible, we do put up a fight but 99 out of 100 they are paid, espessially when Montana gets envolved. To be honest most of the players who we do not entitle to bonuses, ask to be taken off of our mailing lists, which we are more than happy to oblige, to eliminate this confusion. But this is a case where a player specifically asked to have his account open, and receive mailers. It is for this reason I was so explicit with this player.

I just don't buy it that it is impossible to remove one player from your marketing database. I assume you don't just send the same promos to all registered players, so there must be a way of sending different promos to different players or even no promos at all. If not, then it is time to update to better software.

In my non-legal opinion, the invitation overrules the bar on receiving promotions. If I tell you that I don't want to see you again in my house then I invite you for dinner, you are not trespassing if you come. Maybe some lawyers would be able to advise on what the exact legal situation is.

I think you should honour the coupons, and deduct the cost from your marketing manager's salary.
