Yes, I don't know why that microgaming cookie shows on spyware removers, but it and a lot of other cookies that show there are harmless and usually just make life on the web easier.

Some of the spyware removers have gone a little overboard - they like to brag that they detect x number of spyware units (more than the next guy) and are adding some things that are really harmless.

I have to say though that IE also blocks some microgaming cookies from being installed - you then see a little symbol with an eye on the bottom of your browser. Click it and you will learn what cookie is being blocked.

I understand this is because many programs use third party cookies - cookies that are being served from a different server. IE reacts negatively to that, and maybe that is also the reason that some spyware programs do.

All of this is harmless and the cookies are helpful, not harmful.

The trojan blocking other programs from running though - how can anyone expect to get away with that?
