Well, Dominique, it sounds like we have a lot in common: My first on-line slot buddy!
I have played at Show Down about 3 or 4 times, and I did well about 4 or 5 times which isn't bad, but I am too embarassed to tell you how much I won and played all off! I've done that so many times...but I am working on changing that! I was so mad at myself, but like you I didn't want to stop playing...I was having a BALL....until it was over! I usually "stick" to the same casino, which has been Music Hall, most of the time. I REALLY like them although I've had trouble with the way the cash-in works...but I am figuring this out and will change it!! But I do want to enture out and play more at others, here and there, especially since I had some luck at ShowDown: now I need to cash out when I do more often, as I said. I may go to Show Down tonight and play. Debating! However, the jackpots are low right now for slots at Microgaming and I like to play when they are higher because I feel like more people are playing and I do better. Do YOU agree with this? IF you feel the same, let me know...and I'll save the $$ for Thursday or a weekend. Plus it's Tuesday and I "feel" that it will be a slower night because of that too...I probably could be wrong...me and my superstitions! I know there are other casinos with different software, but I just don't like them as much AT ALL. I am SO USED to Microgamming and like the slots there!
So you really like the wild, five reel slots? That's good to hear! Well, maybe I'll try the 5 reel ones again soon...just couldn't get into it especially when they are scattered. (I read the odds weren't as good on those, but I wouldn't know personally.) When I played them IF I would win a little bit, I was like: "Where in the H*** did that come from? Where did I win?" I have to admit though that I didn't want to take the time to read the directions. But I never did well with them just playing then. I did play one of these at Harrah's in NC, and I ended up liking it, but it was one of those where you would pick the ones to stay and spin again. I was calling everyone around me saying, "What would you do?" But I did start to enjoy that one after I learned how to play it some. I am sure you've probably played that type at a real casino before? You wouldn't want to sit by me though...I'd be going, "What's this? What should I do?" Ha!
I have a question: Do you go up and down on your bets during the middle of playing, by the way?? I stay somewhat stable. IF I go UP then I do it once and go to another game then come back...this sounds like the computer is watching my every move!!!! Ha! I was reading that you should do that...(but there are so many opinions on this I would bet)...but almost every time I do that, the slots just seem to die.
Oh, I will add something here that completely stays on topic...when I started playing againg after a few years of not doing so, I went to the WORST place I have ever been and I stayed there WAY too long, NOT knowing of the others out there, thinking it was a streak of bad luck ...but there's no WAY...not as much as I played. It was at English Harbour and it's sister site, which I think is called Silver Dollar or Silver Something?? OH, for me, it was AWFUL for slots, that I do know. (I hope I don't offend anyone...but that's my experience.) I NEVER ONCE doubled my winnings...and like I said, I played a lot over a decent amount of time and spent way too much money. Then I looked around and discovered more about HOW these places work and how they are affiliated and what software I liked...and also about the percentages... IF I lose on my own by not cashing out, then that's my fault, but this was the most awful experience I've ever had playing slots! I got NOT one WIN there, never! However, THEY did send me a nice bottle of strawberry and orange Stolie's (sp??) Vodka for my birthday, although I don't drink, but that was nice. But I could have purchased stock in it for what I lost or even buy a truck load of it! NO casino had ever done that when I played before! And IF we play there a lot and spend a certain amount I think they SHOULD do something special for people who've kept them in business!! Anyway, I never had a chance to cash out ANYTHING that I thought was decent, unless it was my deposit with maybe $10 or $20 or a little more, but NEVER doubled my deposit!! Just terrible and I hate I wasted money there when there are so many good sites online. Therefore, I am glad there are forums like this to HELP!! THANKS WINNERONLINE...you helped me escape to a better casino JUST by reading here (PLUG for Winneronline! Ha! Anyway, I know there are advertisements here because it keeps the place alive and it keeps it free for us, but I just don't want people lying about a casino to me and they are working for $$$...the intentional spammers. I saw where others don't like that either, so the longstanding members hopefully will help weed them out!
Did you go to the area "player's strategies/tips" on this board and read my post (even longer one) there? We can talk about what we like more OVER THERE...about advice, tips, quirks, superstitions, etc. I HOPE others are interested, too, in the topic of slots.
Also, I found some useful information/or maybe not last night about advice when playing slots. If you'd like I could share it with you... There's this "trial and error" thing that you might want to try that I am interested in. You may have heard of it and it may be a dumb idea...but if not, it doesn't hurt in trying. I had never heard of this before, but that doesn't mean anything to me! If you don't mind, go over to the place where I typed about slots because I had FIRST posted it here until I realize it was in the wrong place, so I moved it. Then I had it deleted here. I usually stay right here and read...so I had forgotten about that area. I can PM you the info I found last night (2 things), IF you would like it. OR I can share them IF people are interested and post them if that's allowed...just for input. I don't know how picky it is here about keeping on topic... I think people here just get aggravated with the stammers/scammers, and rightly so! I want REAL people here, too, giving honest, personal advice to me. Most people here that I read about discuss the poker and BJ type games more, I think, not slots so I wanted to see if anyone was interested. Hey so far, I found you: ONE!
Well, I hope you go over there. Let me know about the above questions if you don't mind and about that info I found.
BTW, my winnings DID go to my bank account today! Yeah! I have ONLY cashed in three times since I started playing back and that's about to change!! I've had plenty of opportunities to do so and didn't or just loved playing too much to stop.
Since I won at MH a week and a half ago, would you go to another one and play, or do you think it REALLY matters??? Oh, I finally got my winnings and a nice person there actually gave me a free $100 in my bonus account for all that happened...VERY nice of her. I lost, but I was appreciative of that.
Well, I'll be back! See you soon!
